Supervision

I offer therapeutic supervision for individuals and groups e.g. student or qualified counsellors, social workers and nurses, chaplains, helping agencies or groups.

Clinical supervision is offered for those requiring general supervision, or for the specialty areas of pregnancy-abortion decision-making and care, or counsellors, psychotherapists or psychologists dealing with post abortion or termination issues.

What is Supervision?
- an alliance where you are able to give an account of your work to another
- an extra pair of eyes when looking at your work
- a space to work through issues of best practice
- an opportunity to check around safety, boundaries and ethical issues
- an oasis to explore who and how you are in your role
- a safe place to wrestle with issues that surface for you in and around your job
- a source of further information and resources
- a place of support

Why have professional supervision?
- it is required by an agency or workplace
- to ensure one is meeting the standards of best practice in your role
- part of good self-care when working in a caring-helping role
